A documentary on the 150th anniversary of the Church in the British Isles will be broadcast by KBYU-TV, channel 11, Sunday, April 3, at 8 p.m.
Filmed on location in England, Scotland, the Isle of Man and Wales, the one-hour documentary, titled "The Kingdom and the Crown," presents highlights from a series of area conferences held last July. It also features LDS historic sites and scenic views of the British Isles.Church events captured in the documentary include area conferences presided over by President Ezra Taft Benson and other General Authorities during their visits to the United Kingdom last July.
Included are comments by Church members and leaders. Also featured are comments by British dignitaries and a videotaped message sent by President Ronald Reagan and shown at an anniversary banquet in London.
