Another six mission presidents have been announced by the First Presidency. Their mission assignments, as well as those of new mission presidents called this year, have also been announced. (See pages 8-9.) The new presidents, along with their wives, will assume their responsibilities about July 1.
Boyd C. Bulloch, 53, assigned to the Mississippi Jackson Mission; member of the Las Vegas 4th Ward, North Las Vegas Nevada Stake; Church public communications director for Nevada, and Las Vegas Nevada Temple coordinator; former high councilor, ward clerk, and stake missionary; real estate developer; received bachelor's degree in accounting, banking and finance from BYU; born in Cedar City, Utah, a son of Bruce Nielson and Louisa Cox Bulloch; married Patricia Jeanne Swartz; 11 children. She is a stake Relief Society president's counselor, former stake Primary secretary, ward Primary president and counselor, and ward Relief Society president's counselor; born in Las Vegas, Nev., a daughter of Walter Lewis and Patty Victoria Swartz.
Hector Ceballos Luzanilla, 50 assigned to the Mexico Tampico Mission; member of the Hermosillo 5th Ward, Hermosillo Mexico Pitic Stake; high councilor, former stake president, mission president's counselor, branch president, and district executive secretary; director of teaching for preparatory school; received master's degrees in history and pedagogy; born in Bacobampo, Mexico, a son of Rafael and Argelia Luzanilla Nolasco Ceballos; married Delores Audelia Uribe; seven children. She is a former Junior Sunday School coordinator, mission and branch Relief Society president, ward Primary president, and teacher in Relief Society, Young Adults, and temple preparation seminar; born in Nacozari, Mexico, a daughter of Manuel and Dolores Cons Flores Uribe.
A. Dean Jeffs, 59, assigned to the West Indies Mission; member of the Orem 50th Ward, Orem Utah Sharon West Stake; Varsity Scout coach, former stake president, high councilor, bishop, and elders quorum president; served mission to France, 1948-51; attorney; attended BYU and received juris doctorate from University of Utah; born in Provo, Utah, a son of Alvin Wooley and Melvina Payne Jeffs; married Darnell Zollinger; seven children, five from his previous marriage to Laurel Rey Johnson Jeffs, who is deceased. Sister Darnell Jeffs is a Cub Scout den leader, former ward Relief Society president's counselor, Primary secretary, and teacher in Relief Society, Sunday School and Primary; taught child development at BYU for 14 years; received bachelor's degree at Utah State University and master's degree at BYU; born in Logan, Utah, a daughter of Lafonza A. and Camille Walton Zollinger.
Richard H. Kiyabu, 45, assigned to the Japan Tokyo North Mission; member of the Moanalua Ward, Honolulu Hawaii West Stake; stake mission president, former mission president's counselor, high councilor, bishop, and elders quorum president; served in the Northern Far East Mission, 1966-68; junior high school teacher; received bachelor's degree from BYU, professional teaching certificate from Church College of Hawaii; born in Honolulu, Hawaii, a son of Harry Zenichi and Shizue Hokama Kiyabu; married Naomi Sue Okawa; four children. She is a Relief Society home and family education teacher, former Young Women president's counselor, Relief Society spiritual living teacher, Primary secretary, and temple ordinance worker; served in the Northern Far East Mission, 1966-68; born in Makawao, Hawaii, a daughter of Hisashi and Moto Machida Okawa.
Gilbert Petramalo, 51, assigned to the Ghana Accra Mission; member of the Summit Ward, Puyallup Washington Stake; stake mission president's counselor, former high councilor, bishop's counselor, ward mission leader, and Sunday School president's counselor; served with wife in the England London Mission, 1986-87; driver and custodian with armored car company; received business degree at Fort Steilacoom College; born in Rochester, N.Y., a son of Thomas Carl and Mary Frances Williamson Petramalo; married Gretchen Frances Smith three children. She is a ward activities committee chairman, former stake and ward Young Women president, and Young Women Laurel adviser; born in Elwood City, Pa.; a daughter of Joseph Hamel and Ehtel Mae Ranft Smith.
Raymond Y. Sasaki, 50, assigned to the Japan Fukuoka Mission; member of the Pearl City 2nd Ward, Mililani Hawaii Stake; bishop's counselor, former high councilor, elders quorum president, deacons quorum adviser, and Scoutmaster; served in the Northern Far East Mission, 1959-62; Church Educational System employee; born in Honolulu, Hawaii, a son of Minoru and Asako Ishihiro Sasaki; married Jane Yoshie Miyashiro; five children. She is a ward Young Women president's counselor, former ward Primary president and counselor, Primary teacher, and Young Women adviser; born in Honolulu, Hawaii, a daughter of Makaro and Yoshiko Shinsato Miyashiro.
