On May 27, my companion elder Dal Wiscombe, and myself were returning to our home from a teaching appointment, when I noticed smoke billowing near a fence behind a house.

We parked our bikes and tried to open the gate into the back yard. It was locked, so we ran around to the front of the house. We rang the doorbell, and a woman answered the door. I told her there was a fire in her backyard. She let us in, and we ran quickly through the house and out the back door.

After spraying the flames with a hose for a couple of minutes, the fire was out. We told her about the church and invited her to attend. We also asked her to listen to the discussions.

She answered yes to both invitations, and we had the opportunity to teach her the gospel.
