Six more new mission presidents have been announced by the First Presidency. With their wives they will assume their responsibilities about July 1. Specific mission assignments will be published later.

O. Daniel Bluth, 47, Logan 8th Ward, Logan Utah Mt. Logan Stake; bishop, former mission president's counselor, high councilor, bishop's counselor, and deacons quorum adviser; served in the Norther Mexican Mission, 1960-63; oral and maxillofacial surgeon; attended BYU, Northwestern University Dental School, and Mayo Graduate School of Medicine; born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, a son of Lothaire E and Mary Viva Skousen Bluth; married Carolyn Hodgson, seven children. She is a stake Primary president's counselor and Cub Scout den mother, former ward Primary president and counselor, ward MIA secretary, Young Women beehive leader, and Relief Society homemakeing leader; born in Ventura, Calif., to Russell Bealer and Mary Afton Grimshaw Hodgson.

Richard L. Burt, 55, Butler 2nd Ward, Salt Lake Cottonwood Heights Stake; stake president, former stake president's counselor, high councilor, bishop and counselor, and elders quorum president; retired chief examiner for Utah Department of Financial Institutions; received bachelor's degree from University of Utah; born in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of James Watson and Helen Catherine Brown Burt; married Dorothy Ann Jensen; four children. She is Primary in-service leader, former ward Primary president and counselor, ward Relief Society president and counselor, stake Relief Society president's counselor, and teacher in Primary and Young Women; born in Salt Lake CCity, Utah, a daughter of Nephi and Myrtle Fenton Jensen.

Robert W. Houghton, 49, Emmett 2nd Ward, Emmett Idaho Stake; called to serve with wife as missionary in Michigan Lansing, Mission, reporting Feb. 16, 1988; former stake president and counselor, high councilor, stake mission president, branch president, elders quorum president's counselor, and Swiss Temple worker; servied in the Samoa Mission, 1959-61; served with wife in the Singapore Mission, 1986-87; retired U.S. Air Force officer; received bachelor's degree in history from BYU, master of public administration from Auburn Unitversity at Montgomery, Ala.; born in Stafford, Kan., a son of Virgil William and Mabel Edith Riggs Houghton; married Linda Dale Myers, three children. She is former stake Relief Society president's counselor, seminary teacher, Sunday School gospel doctrine teacher, and Swiss Temple worker. Born in Emmett, Idaho, a daughter of Roy Morris and Betty Lou Dowdle Morris Myers.

George H. Jones, 65, Leicester 2nd Ward, Leicester England Stake; executive secretary to president of United Kingdom/Ireland/Africa Area; former stake president, bishop and counselor, and high priests group leader; retired shoe corporation executive; graduated with honors from Chester College of Art, Royal Drawing Society; born in Coedpoeth Wales, a son of Gwynfryn and Jane Catherien Roberts Jones; married Edna Mildred Nutter; two children. She is a ward Relief Society president's counselor and teacher development teacher, former stake Young Women president, stake Relief Society president's counselor, ward Relief Society president, and seminary teacher; born in Portsmouth, England, a daughter of William Charles and Nellie Kate Parker Nutter.

R. D. Scott, 60, Bloominton 1st Ward, St. George Utah Stake; St. George Temple worker, high priests group leader; former stake president, district president's counselor, high councilor, stake missionary, and bishop; retired financial and general manager for electric appliance corporation; received bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Utah; born in Murray, Utah, a son of Frank Armstrong and Ruby Palmer Scott; married Doris Heward; five children. She is a ward Relief Society president, former stake and district Relief Society president, ward Relief Society president, ward MIA president, and ward Primary president; born in Wallsburg, Utah, a daughter of Ray Pyne and Okie Bigelow Heward.

Thomas Young Jr., 59, Monument Park 15th Ward, Salt Lake Monument Park Stake; ward activities chairman, former chairman and member of various general Church activities committees, high councilor, stake MIA superintendent, bishop's counselor, elder's quorum president and counselor; served in the British Mission, 1948-50; president of electic sign company; attended University of Utah; born in Ogden, Utah, a son of Thomas and Elmina Carlisle Young; married Dwan Jacobsen; five children. She is general Primary president, former general Primary board member, stake Primary president's counselor and board member, ward Primary president and counselor, primary teacher, Relief Society teacher, and Sunday School organist; born in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of Clifton and Vauna Smith Jacobsen.
