A constant stream of visitors stopped to view the Church's exhibit at the Utah State Fair, Sept. 7-17, according to missionaries.
Located in the newly renovated Exhibit Building No.1, the Church's display was the same one used to introduce visitors to the Church at the recent Portland Temple open house. The display focused on the family, the purpose of life, and the Savior. A video presentation was included for those who wanted more information. The exhibit was sponsored jointly by the Utah Salt Lake City Mission and the Utah Central Area Public Communications Council.
"The exhibit provided a means for the missionaries to open a conversation about the Church," said Pres. Donald R. McArthur of the Utah Salt Lake City Mission.
"The exhibit was well-located and attracted a good deal of attention. People were visiting the booth almost constantly," he said.
Sister missionaries assigned as guides on Temple Square welcomed visitors to the exhibit.
