A scholarship honoring Church president Ezra Taft Benson will be offered beginning next year at Utah State University, announced university president, Dr. Stanford Cazier.

The Ezra Taft Benson Merit Scholarship, which will cover four years of resident tuition, fees and books, will be given to an entering freshman. The Benson scholar will be chosen based on public service, extracurricular interests, grade point average and American College Test (ACT) scores."We are delighted by the opportunity for Utah State University to honor its great alumnus," President Cazier said. Pres. Benseon attended the school from 1919-1921. "No other recognition can match the value and the performance of a scholarship endowment that renews itself each year in the lives of deserving students."
