A. Harold Goodman, called as president of the Atlanta Georgia Temple, succeeding Pres. David H. Yarn Jr. Pres. Goodman is a former chairman of the Church Music Department, and mission president. His wife, Naomi Foster Goodman, will be temple matron. Pres. Goodman, 65, was president of the England London Mission, counselor in the Provo Temple presidency, Sunday School General Board member, stake president, stake president's counselor, high councilor and bishop. He is an emeritus professor of music at BYU and former conductor of the Tucson (Ariz.) Symphony Orchestra. He has been a guest conductor in the United States, Canada, England, Mexico and Central America. A graduate of the University of Arizona, he received master's degree and music education doctorate from the University of Southern California. Sister Goodman is a graduate of BYU, and has served as Primary president and counselor, stake Relief Society president's counselor and ward and stake in-service leader, and teacher in Sunday School and Primary. Members of the Pleasant View 1st Ward in Provo, Utah, they are parents of three children.
