Approximately 450 people, many non-members, recently attended a fireside held here and heard two ex-BYU football players share gospel experiences and bear their testimonies.
Quarterback Steve Young and defensive back Tom Holmo, both of the San Francisco '49ers, chose to speak at the fireside rather than attend a welcoming dinner for the team, which was in Japan to play an exhibition game. The fireside was sponsored by the Japan Tokyo South and North missions. After the fireside, non-members in the audience received copies of the Book of Mormon signed by the two football players.
