Brigham Young University's newly completed Jerusalem Center for Near Eastern Studies, located on Mount Scopus, was dedicated last month. President Howard W. Hunter of the Council of the Twelve, who is also a member of the board of trustees, officiated at the May 16 dedication.
The private ceremony, attended by a small group of university trustees and center personnel, was held with the endorsement and encouragement of city officials, who expressed pleasure in the center's beauty and satisfaction in its completion.
