By cooperating with members and redoubling their own efforts, missionaries in the New Hampshire Manchester Mission are striving to "flood the earth" - or at least New Hampshire - with copies of the Book of Mormon.
In addition to doubling the number of copies of the Book of Mormon being placed daily, the missionaries are placing a specially prepared hardback copy of the Book of Mormon in every public library throughout the mission, reported Mission Pres. Lynn E. Thomsen. In combined missionary and member efforts, the missionaries are assisting members in the Wolfeboro Branch, located on the east shore of Lake Winnepesaukee, place 5,000 personalized copies of the book in their small community.
And finally, 12 missionaries, including one missionary couple, are presenting a special fireside in wards and branches throughout the mission. The fireside includes scriptures, quotations and original music prepared by two sister missionaries.
According to Elder and Sister Wayne Bell, public communications missionaries, the fireside is having a profound spiritual effect on non-members, as well as members. "Many non-members are now taking the missionary discussions after attending the fireside," Elder Bell reported.
