Hal G. Moore, associate chairman of the Math Department at BYU, has been elected to a three-year term on the board of governors of the Mathematical Association of America. Moore, a member of the Sunset Heights 2nd Ward in Orem, Utah, will represent the Intermountain Section of the association. Moore has authored elementary textbooks on various math subjects and has contributed research articles on abstract algebra.
