In commemoration of its 20th anniversary, the Mormon Youth Symphony and Chorus is inviting former members to attend its annual Christmas Carol Sing-In at the historic Salt Lake Tabernacle Dec. 13.
An estimated 3,500 to 4,000 musicians have been members of either the symphony or the chorus since the musical organization was started in 1969."Following the Sing-In, we will have a short commemorative program and social to renew old acquaintances and friendships," wrote Robert C. Bowden, musical director, and William E. Zwick, president, in a letter to former members. "Leadership from previous years will also be invited."
Former members are asked to send a postcard or call the symphony and chorus office to respond so that enough space can be reserved for them in the Tabernacle.
The office address is Twentieth Floor, 50 E. North Temple Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84150. The telephone number is (801) 240-2524.
