The College of Eastern Utah speech and debate team recently culminated its best year ever, winning 12 team sweepstakes trophies, 153 individual trophies and 54 other awards in competitions throughout the United States. Now five members of the squad are using or will soon use those same communication skills on full-time missions for the Church.
Scott Wardle is serving in the New York New York City Mission; Tom Martin is in Pennsylvania Harrisburg Mission; David Dayton is serving in the Louisiana Baton Rouge Mission; Ron Gilson will leave soon for the Dallas Texas Mission; and Aaron Southard is awaiting his call.
