The first LDS meetinghouse in this small jungle town of 10,000 was recently completed, attracting nearly 500 people at the inauguration ceremony, which is a Latin tradition. The Guayaramerin Branch, of the Bolivia Cochabamba Mission, had grown from 25 members to 400 during the past two years, and currently has six missionaries serving in the branch, five of whom are Bolivians.

The chapel was built with 70 percent of the labor volunteered by local members, said mission leaders.
