The Tabernacle Choir will reach another milestone Sunday, July 16, when it completes 60 consecutive years of broadcasting "Music and the Spoken Word," the longest continuous series in network radio history in the country.

The occasion will be observed during the choir's usual half-hour broadcast over the CBS Radio Network and KSL-TV, presented at 9:30 a.m. MDT. A half-hour commemorative broadcast over KSL will follow immediately. The choir is inviting its listeners worldwide to participate in the anniversary by sharing any experiences or insights concerning the broadcasts that they may have had through the years.

Herold Gregory, administrative assistant to the choir, said anyone who has had or knows of a particularly meaningful experience, or whose life has been influenced by the broadcasts, may send a written account to Mormon Tabernacle Choir, 50 E. North Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah 84150.

Valuable photographs or memorabilia should not be sent unless requested, as they may not be returned, Gregory said.
