All adult members of the Church 18 years of age and older in the United States and Canada are invited to view a special satellite fireside on Sunday, Feb. 18, dealing with the local unit budget allowance program.
The fireside was announced by President Howard W. Hunter of the Council of the Twelve in a letter to General Authorities and priesthood leaders in the United States and Canada.Originating in the Tabernacle on Temple Square at 6 p.m., Mountain Standard Time, the fireside will be telecast over the Church satellite network, and will be rebroadcast over the satellite network again at 8 p.m. The fireside will not be broadcast over KBYU-TV. Attendance in the Tabernacle will be by invitation only.
The fireside will include addresses by members of the First Presidency and other General Authorities.
Home teachers and visiting teachers are asked to inform their assigned families of the time and place of the fireside, said President Hunter. The fireside will be closed captioned for the benefit of those with hearing disabilities.
