Pres. Benson is upgraded to 'satisfactory' condition

As of early Thursday, Oct. 11, President Ezra Taft Benson remained in satisfactory condition at LDS Hospital.

Earlier in the week, President Benson was removed from the hospital's intensive care unit to a regular hospital room. His condition was upgraded to satisfactory on Monday, Oct. 8.The 91-year-old prophet, hospitalized since Sept. 18, has undergone two surgeries to remove subdural hematomas and has been treated for gastrointestinal bleeding, unrelated to the surgeries.

According Church spokesman Don LeFevre, President Benson enjoyed watching conference proceedings from his hospital room.
