David Y. Chiu of the BYU 147th Ward, BYU 11th Stake, won three gold medals for weightlifting - snatch, clean and jerk, and total - at the 1990 Collegiate National Championships. He has set seven Utah state records, captured three Utah championships in his division and won three bronze medals at the 1989 Collegiate National Championships.
