Elder L. Tom Perry of the Council of the Twelve and his wife, Barbara, were guests at a recent monthly social for the full-time missionaries serving at the St. George Temple Visitors Center and nearby historic sites.

Elder Perry, who also serves as chairman of the Church Missionary Executive Council, spoke to the group about the expansion of the worldwide missionary program. "The greatest time to be involved in the Lord's work is today," he said.More than a half-million visitors pass through the St. George Temple Visitors Center annually, with about 30 percent of those being non-members from throughout the world.

According to the center director, Elder Carl E. Petterson, the center hosted visitors from 13 countries during a two-day period.
