Following approval by the First Presidency to assist in the relief of Iranian earthquake victims, a shipment of 550 family tents and 975 sleeping bags left Salt Lake City July 2 for Iran.

The shipment from the Bishops' Central Storehouse was sent to El Cerrito, Calif., where it will be picked up by an Iranian relief group and taken to San Francisco.Once in San Francisco, the tents and sleeping bags will be included in an Air France shipment of relief supplies to Paris, where the Iranian Red Crescent Society will take over and handle the distribution in Iran, Church Welfare Services officials said.
