Four women have been called to the Relief Society general board, the First Presidency has announced:

Mercedes Trujillo Harding, Mount Olympus 9th Ward, Salt Lake Mt. Olympus Stake; served on Primary general board from 1981 to 1988; former stake and ward Relief Society president, Young Women teacher and Sunday School teacher; served a mission to Central America and later served with her husband, Robert A. Harding, who was president of the Colombia Cali Mission.

Bonnie Dansie Parkin, Parleys 3rd Ward, Salt Lake Parleys Stake; former ward Primary president, stake Young Women president, ward Relief Society president and Young Adult Relief Society leader; received a bachelor of arts degree at Utah State University; married to James Parkin.

Anne Clark Pingree, Butler 16th Ward, Salt Lake Wasatch Stake; former ward Primary president and counselor, ward Relief Society president and counselor, stake Relief Society counselor, stake Young Women counselor and Relief Society and Primary teacher; married to George C. Pingree.

Cherry Bushman Silver, Holladay 24th Ward, Salt Lake Holladay North Stake; former stake and ward Relief Society president and counselor, and stake and ward Young Women's president and counselor; served as full-time missionary with husband, Barnard Silver, in Ivory Coast and Zaire, Africa; received a doctorate degree from Harvard University and has taught literature and composition in California and Washington Community Colleges.
