Missionaries here are actively taking part in weekly service projects, and their efforts have resulted in increased recognition of the Church and "much enthusiasm" among the missionaries, say leaders of the Panama Panama City Mission.

"We're painting and cleaning the health centers, parks, and government institutions," noted Elder Eric E. Canto of Panama, assistant to mission Pres. Pedro E. Abularach. "People realize that the Church is interested in the physical welfare of others."Missionaries also gave a workshop on the prevention of drug abuse to inmates at a women's correctional facility.
