President Ezra Taft Benson was released from LDS Hospital Wednesday, Oct. 17. Church spokesman Don LeFevre said President Benson is continuing to convalesce at home.
President Benson, 91, was hospitalized Sept. 18. He underwent two operations, one on Sept. 19 and another Sept. 23. In the first operation, two subdural hematomas were removed from his skull; in the second, doctors removed a clot on the left side of his skull. He was also treated for gastrointestinal bleeding, unrelated to the surgeries.
