Ronald G. Hyde of Orem, Utah, has been appointed executive assistant to the president at BYU for development and university relations.
President of the England Birmingham Mission from 1978-81, Hyde succeeds Paul H. Thompson, who recently left BYU to become president of Weber State College in Ogden, Utah.Hyde joined the BYU administration in 1958 as alumni fund director and has served as executive director of the Alumni Association, special assistant to the president for development and alumni relations and assistant to the president-university relations. During the past year, he has served as executive assistant to the president.
