Valdo D. Benson, 79, president of the Central German Mission from 1962-1965 and a former regional represenative, died Oct. 3.

He was a brother to President Ezra Taft Benson.He had also served as a stake president, high councilor, bishop, branch president and Scoutmaster, and was the original producer of the annual Martin Harris pageant in Clarkston, Utah. He worked as a rancher, agri-businessman, and had been co-owner of a chain of fabric stores in the Northwest.
