A music keyboard with full-size keys that produces either organ or piano sound is now available through Church distribution centers for $35, according to Michael F. Moody, chairman of the General Church Music Committee.
"This long-awaited keyboard will be a great blessing to members of the Church throughout the world, especially in places where they have limited access to pianos or other keyboard instruments," Brother Moody noted. The new keyboard is manufactured in Taiwan expressly for the Church. The first one off the production line was recently received at Church headquarters and presented to Elder James E. Faust and Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Council of the Twelve by Elder James M. Paramore of the Seventy. Elder Ballard is Priesthood Executive Committee chairman and Elder Paramore is executive director of the Priesthood Department, which includes the Music Division. Brother Moody said the keyboard is suitable for developing keyboard skills and playing the hymns at home or in small-group settings. It operates on four C-size batteries, not included, or with an AC adapter or DC adapter, each available separately for $5. Catalog numbers are 80377 for the keyboard, 80371 for the AC adapter, and 80380 for the DC adapter.
