Howard R. M. Hall, 47, area director of Church seminaries and institutes for Hawaii, Guam and Micronesia, died Oct. 4, 1991, in Hawaii. He had served in the presidency of the Hawaii Honolulu Mission and was formerly Church Educational System area administrator and associate area director, and division coordinator in Hawaii.- Dr. Martin B. Hickman, 66, former dean of the College of Family, Home and Social Sciences at BYU and past director of the BYU Jerusalem Center for Middle Eastern Studies, died Oct. 14 of a heart attack.

Known as the "dean of deans," he retired in 1990 after working at BYU for 23 years, 17 of them as dean.
