The First Presidency has announced the calling of four more mission presidents. They and their wives will begin their service about July 1. They are:

Walter L. Ames, 44, assigned to the Japan Nagoya Mission; Tokyo English 2nd Ward, Tokyo South Stake; high councilor, former stake president and counselor, high councilor, bishop's counselor, Sunday School teacher; president of Monitor Company in Japan; received bachelor's degree from BYU, Ph.D. from University of Michigan and juris doctorate from Harvard Law School; born in Long Beach, Calif., a son of Bill Chester and Frances Armor Ames; married Evelyn Hinton; six children. She is a Relief Society counselor, former stake Relief Society president, ward Relief Society president and teacher, homemaking leader, nursery coordinator, Young Women president, seminary teacher, activities committee co-chairman; received bachelor's degree from BYU, master's degree from Eastern Michigan University; born in Cedar City, Utah, a daughter of Delmer and Juanita Brooksby Hinton.E. Jerald Haws, 55, assigned to the Spain Barcelona Mission; Santa Barbara 2nd Ward, Santa Barbara California Stake; former stake president, high councilor, stake Young Men president, bishop, branch president's counselor, seminary teacher; served in Central America mission, 1956-58; senior law partner; received bachelor's degree from University of California at Santa Barbara and juris doctorate from University of California at Berkeley; born in Los Angeles, Calif., a son of Karl Nelbert and Wanda Edna Tremelling Haws; married Joan Haws; five children. She has served in various teaching and leadership responsibilities in the auxiliaries, as an early morning seminary teacher and choir director; received bachelor's degree from BYU; born in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Mark Allen Jarman, 35, assigned to the new Dominican Republic Santo Domingo East Mission; Sunday School teacher, former bishop's counselor, Young Men president, finance clerk, elder's quorum president; served in Chile Concepcion Mission, 1975-77; director of training at Missionary Training Center; received bachelor's and master's degrees from BYU; born in Harlingen, Texas, a son of Boyd Orson and Lois Kathrine Conger Jarman; married Sylvia Ruth Simmons; four children. She is a Primary counselor, former Cub Scout den leader, Relief Society teacher and counselor, nursery coordinator, Primary teacher and counselor, instructor for the sisters' personal development program at the Missionary Training Center; registered dietitian; received bachelor's degree from BYU; born in Provo, Utah, a daughter of Paul Alphonzo and Virginia Larsen Simmons.

Manfred H. Schutze, 50, assigned to the Germany Berlin Mission; Bernburg Branch, Leipzig Germany Stake; stake president, former district president, branch president and counselor, district Young Men counselor, Sunday School teacher; CES coordinator for Church; received language/ teacher degree from University of Leipzig; born in Leippa, Germany, a son of Hermann and Else Martha Himpel Winkler Schutze; married Inga Heinritz; three children. She is a Primary counselor, former district and branch Primary president, Relief Society counselor and teacher, Primary teacher and organist; language/teacher degree from University of Leipzig; born in Meiningen, Germany, a daughter of Martin Richard and Elisabeth Schmidt Heinritz.
