An Aaronic Priesthood quorum is an organized group of young men within a ward who hold the same Aaronic Priesthood office. Quorums are organized to:

1. Administer in ordinances, such as baptism and the administration of the sacrament. 2. Assist in advancing the temporal work of the Church. 3. Instruct quorum members in priesthood principles. 4. Prepare quorum members to worthily receive the Melchizedek Priesthood. 5. Prepare quorum members to worthily serve a full-time mission. 6. Provide opportunities for service for Aaronic Priesthood bearers 12 through 18 years of age. 7. Encourage brotherhood among the young men of the Church.- Aaronic Priesthood Leadership Handbook, p. 2
