Elder Boyd K. Packer of the Council of the Twelve has created the Bordeaux France Stake, which includes the Eysines, Lormont, Pau, and Talence wards, and the Bayonne, Bergerac, Brive, Mont de Marsan, Perigueux, and Tarbes branches.

Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Council of the Twelve has created the Brigham Young University 18th Stake, which includes the BYU 25th, BYU 29th, BYU 59th, BYU 85th, BYU 99th, BYU 139th, BYU 147th, and BYU 170th wards.Elder L. Lionel Kendrick of the Seventy has created the Santa Cruz Philippines Stake, which includes the Lumban, Santa Cruz 1st, Santa Cruz 2nd, Santa Cruz 3rd, Santa Cruz 4th, and Santa Cruz 5th wards, and the Calauan, Magdalena, Majayjay, and Victoria branches.

Elsewhere, stakes were reorganized in California, Nevada, Utah, and Washington, and in France, Korea, Samoa, and Tonga.
