President Ezra Taft Benson celebrated his 93rd birthday Aug. 4 with family members and Church leaders.

In the morning, President Benson's counselors in the First Presidency and their wives, and members of the Council of the Twelve honored the prophet at a social at his residence, and sang "Happy Birthday" to him.President Benson then spent the afternoon and early evening with family members. During the gathering, he was presented with a bust of himself, which later will be displayed at the Ezra Taft Benson Agriculture and Food Institute at BYU.

President Benson received numerous birthday cards and letters from Church members, many of whom were children. The Church News was asked to express thanks to members for their kindnesses since it is not possible to acknowledge each greeting personally.
