The First Presidency has announced the call of six more mission presidents. The new presidents and their wives will begin their service about July 1. Those called are:

Max W. Craner, 63, assigned to the Philippines Quezon City Mission; Rexburg 4th Ward, Rexburg Idaho East Stake; regional representative, former stake president, high councilor, bishop, and Scoutmaster; served in Central Atlantic States Mission, 1949-1951; Church Educational System area director; received bachelor's degree from Ricks College, master's degree and doctorate from BYU; born in Burley, Idaho, a son of John Thomas and Sarah Lauretta Wells Craner; married Evelyn Parke, six children. She is a Relief Society teacher, former stake Relief Society president, stake Primary president's counselor, and ward Young Women president; attended Southern Idaho College of Education; born in Declo, Idaho, a daughter of Vasco Anson and Teresa Leone Anderson Parke.Vern O. Curtis, 57, assigned to the Oregon Portland Mission; Huntington Beach 9th Ward, Huntington Beach California North Stake; regional representative, former stake president's counselor, high councilor, bishop's counselor, elders quorum president, and Aaronic Priesthood adviser; served in Central Atlantic States Mission, 1955-1957; dean of School of Business and Economics at Chapman College in Orange, Calif.; received bachelor's degree from University of Utah; born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, a son of Orvel Ward and Louise Anna Kunz Curtis; married Phyllis Karlene Olson, five children. She is a Young Women president's counselor, former Relief Society president, counselor, and teacher, Primary president's counselor and teacher, and pianist; received bachelor's degree from BYU; born in Lovell, Wyo., a daughter of Albert Aagard and Sylvia Elmer Olson.

Jose M. Galvez, 46, assigned to the Panama Panama City Mission; Montserrat Ward, Guatemala City Guatemala Utatlan Stake; temple president's counselor, former stake president and counselor, stake clerk, bishop's counselor, elders quorum president, ward clerk, and institute teacher; construction company proprietor; received bachelor's degree; born in San Luis Jilotepeque, Guatemala, a son of Froylan Lopez and Carmen Galvez; married Enohe Orellana, five children. She is an assistant temple director matron, former Sunday School teacher, seminary teacher, music director, stake Relief Society president's counselor, Primary president, and Young Women activities director; born in Izabal, Guatemala, a daughter of Ignacio and Margarita Castaneda Orellana.

Charles M. Grant, 60, assigned to the Missionary Training Center Mission; Rexburg 15th Ward, Rexburg Idaho East Stake; regional representative, former president of the California Anaheim Mission, stake president and counselor, high councilor, bishop and counselor, and gospel doctrine teacher; director of development and assistant to the president at Ricks College; received bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees from the University of Utah; born in Bancroft, Idaho, a son of Charles Calvin and Mabel Elizabeth Croney Grant; married Gay Kendrick, four children. She is ward Relief Society inservice leader, former stake teacher development instructor, stake Relief Society board member, and ward Relief Society president and teacher; she served with her husband in the California Anaheim Mission; English teacher, received bachelor's degree from the University of Utah; born in Taylorsville, Ill., a daughter of Reed E. and Sedalia Roe Kendrick.

D. Evans Heywood Jr., 58, assigned to the Chile Concepcion Mission; Palo Verde Ward, Phoenix Arizona Camelback Stake; stake financial clerk, former high councilor, stake Sunday School president's counselor, bishop, ward financial clerk, and elders quorum president and counselor; served in Central America Mission, 1953-56; president of realty and investment company; attended BYU and received bachelor's degree from Arizona State University; born in Snowflake, Ariz., a son of David Evans and Marie Smith Heywood; married Sylvia Lunt, seven children. She is a Relief Society president, former stake Relief Society president, stake Young Women president, ward Relief Society president, board member and teacher, Young Women president's counselor, and Primary president, counselor, teacher, and chorister; attended BYU; born in Colonia Pacheco, Mexico, a daughter of Clarence L. and LaVetta Cluff Lunt.

E. Keith Wigglesworth, 53, assigned to the England Leeds Mission; Reading Ward, Reading England Stake; regional representative, former stake president and counselor, district president's counselor, district councilor, branch president, and elders quorum president; senior lecturer at Berkshire College of Art and Design; received bachelor's degreee from Open University and teachers certificate of education at Garnett College in London; born in Leeds, England, a son of Edward Knowles and Annie Harrison Wigglesworth; married Pamela Joy Harker, four children. She is a ward Relief Society president's counselor, former stake Primary president's counselor, stake Relief Society board member, ward Primary president, Young Women counselor, Relief Society president's counselor and teacher, Sunday School teacher, and institute teacher; lecturer; received bachelor's degree at Open University, teacher's certificate from Reading Technical College; born in Leeds, England, a daughter of Jack and Olive Athorne Walker Harker.
