The First Presidency has announced the calling of a new Relief Society general board member:

Carma M. Hales, a member of the Brookstone Ward, Salt Lake Cottonwood Stake; has served as a teacher in the auxiliaries, on Sunday School and Young Women stake boards and as a ward Relief Society counselor; fulfilled a mission to California, later served a mission with her husband, Russell G. Hales, in the Nauvoo area in the Illinois Peoria Mission; has served in the community as a PTA president, member and officer of state and national educational organizations and committees; named Utah Educator of the Year, received two national Presidential Educational Pace-setter awards.
