With a fervor that resounded through the Tabernacle, priesthood bearers stood and sang "Called to Serve" as the congregational hymn during the Saturday evening priesthood session.

Their emotion was likely driven by stirring addresses during the session, which dealt with prophets, priesthood service and missionary work both by young men and older couples.

An Aaronic Priesthood choir from the Orem Utah Region, directed by Stanley Zenk and accompanied by John Longhurst, provided music. They had memorized the selections and gave close attention to the conductor.

Elder F. Burton Howard of the Seventy gave the invocation, and Elder J Ballard Washburn, also of the Seventy, pronounced the benediction.

President Thomas S. Monson conducted the session.
