And if Christ had not risen from the dead, or have broken the bands of death that the grave should have no victory, and that death should have no sting, there could have been no resurrection.

But there is a resurrection, therefore the grave hath no victory, and the sting of death is swallowed up in Christ. - Mosiah 16:7-8"The nails pierced His hands and feet, and He hung in agony and pain, giving Himself a ransom for the sins of all men," said President Gordon B. Hinckley, then a counselor in the First Presidency, in the April 1984 general conference.

"He was buried in a borrowed tomb and on the third day rose from the grave. He came forth triumphant, in a victory over death, the firstfruits of all that slept. With His resurrection came the promise to all men that life is everlasting. . . ."
