Arnold H. Ehlers, 93, former architect for the Church, died Aug. 3, 1995, in Salt Lake City.

In 1950, he was asked by President David O. McKay to head the Church Architectural Department. In this capacity, he traveled extensively to New Zealand, Fiji, Australia and Mexico. Later he was named area architect for the eastern United States and Canada, and then as architectural supervisor of the Church Building Program in the German-speaking countries.- Clifton A. Davis, 68, former set designer at the Church-owned Promised Valley Playhouse, died July 30, 1995, in Salt Lake City.

In addition to his work at the playhouse, he designed stage settings for various theaters throughout the state and had his own design studio. He also served as a member of the general Church Activities Committee, among many other Church assignments.
