Book of Mormon
Those who have questions or concerns about the Church may cling in security to the Book of Mormon, a firm anchor that is immutable and tangible evidence of the truthfulness of the Church. (page 11) - Elder Ted E. Brewerton
Commandments
Man is that he might have joy, and that joy will come to us as we keep God's commandments. (page 22) - Elder Lynn A. Mickelsen
The submission of one's will is really the only uniquely, personal thing we have to place on God's altar. The many other things we "give" are actually the things He has already given or loaned to us. (page 9) - Elder Neal A. Maxwell
Forgiveness
The great morning of forgiveness may not come at once. Do not give up if at first you fail. (page 6) - President Boyd K. Packer
Gospel
We do not need more members who question every detail; we need members who have felt with their hearts, who live close to the Spirit and who follow its promptings joyfully. (page 7) - Elder M. Russell Ballard
There is no place in this work for those who believe only in the gospel of doom and gloom. The gospel is good news. It is a message of triumph. It is a cause to be embraced with enthusiasm. (page 17) - President Gordon B. Hinckley
Happiness
Our happiness and our peace in this life, as well as in the life after, depends on our readiness to base our thoughts and actions on God-given laws. (page 23) - Elder Hans B. Ringger
Jesus Christ
When one studies the doctrinal teachings revealed to Joseph Smith, that person, if he or she is sincere in the search for truth, will be led to Jesus Christ. (page 20) - Elder Robert E. Wells
Kingdom of God
It is an individual knowledge of great fundamental truths that binds us together into what we call the Church and kingdom of God. (page 6) - President Gordon B. Hinckley
If we seek first the kingdom of God, and live as we should, all the rest of it seems to fall into place, and wonderful things can happen. (page 21) - Elder David B. Haight
Missionary work
We all have the sacred obligation and joyful opportunity to throw open the windows of light and truth by proclaiming the blessings of everlasting life to a darkened world. (page 22) - Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin
As members of the Church, we become witnesses of the Savior and the truthfulness of this work, not only in word but also in keeping our covenants and in how we treat others and in how we live our everyday lives. (page 11) - Elder Loren C. Dunn
Patience
Our problem is that we often expect instantaneous solutions to . . . challenges, forgetting that frequently the heavenly virtue of patience is required. (page 18) - President Thomas S. Monson
Preparedness
We have been taught to prepare for the future and obtain a year's supply of necessities. I believe the time to disregard these instructions is over. (page 9) - Elder L. Tom Perry
Priesthood blessings
If through our priesthood blessings we could perceive only a small part of the person God intends us to be, we would lose our fear and never doubt again. (page 19) - President James E. Faust
Sacrament
What is stressed in both [sacrament] prayers is that all of this is done in remembrance of Christ. (page 20) - Elder Jeffrey R. Holland
Self-improvement
Let us do the best we can and try to improve each day. When our imperfections appear, we can keep trying to correct them. (page 22) - Elder Russell M. Nelson
Service
Valiant disciples seek meaningful ways to stretch their souls in service and love to others. (page 8) - Elder W. Craig Zwick
God has given each of us power - the power to act, to choose, to serve, to love and to accomplish much good. (page 8) - Janette Hales Beckham
Teaching Children
[Children] will grow in their devotion to the Lord as they see our devotion to Him. (page 23) - Anne G. Wirthlin
Establish in the mind of a young person the powerful idea that he or she is a child of God, and you have given self-respect and motivation to move against the problems of life. (page 10) - Elder Dallin H. Oaks
When we teach an eternal truth to our children and don't explain it in the context of a firm testimony of the Savior we miss the power of the example of the greatest teacher the world has ever known. (page 7) - Elder Jack H Goaslind
Temptation
Through the blessings of the priesthood, we can be equipped with "the whole armour of God, that [we] may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." (Eph. 6:11-18.) (page 11) - Elder Robert D. Hales
Like the prodigal, we share in a divine inheritance, but by our sins, we squander a portion thereof and experience `a mighty famine' of spirit. (page 8) - Elder Bruce D. Porter
[Satan] forges a Rembrandt-quality of calling evil good and good evil. (page 23) - Durrel A. Woolsey
Trust
This life is an experience in profound trust - trust in Jesus Christ, trust in His teachings, trust in our capacity as led by the Holy Spirit to obey those teachings for happiness. (page 7) - Elder Richard G. Scott
