Frances Grant Bennett, 96, former member of the Primary General Board, died Nov. 17 in Salt Lake City.

Sister Bennett served on the Primary General Board four different times from April 1939 to December 1952. While serving on the general board, Sister Bennett chaired the fund-raising committee to build the Primary Children's Hospital on 12th Avenue in Salt Lake City.In addition, she was a gifted musician, the mother of five children and the wife of Wallace F. Bennett, a U.S. senator for 24 years. Her son, Robert F. Bennett, R-Utah, is currently serving as a U.S. senator. Sister Bennett was the daughter of President Heber J. Grant and his wife, Emily Wells Grant.
