Local residents and visitors to Salt Lake City, discouraged by long lines in the past, now have an opportunity to see the epic movie "Legacy" without waiting, as ticket demand has slowed during the off-season.
"Legacy" is a big-screen presentation focusing on the trials that faced 19th Century pioneers of the Church as they made their way from the East to the Midwest and, ultimately, to the Great Salt Lake Valley. The movie, free to the public, is shown nine times daily except Sundays and holidays in the Legacy Theater of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, 15 E. South Temple Street.
With three more months until the tourist season gets under way, theater officials say now is a good time for local residents, families and organizations to see the movie which has drawn nearly 2 million viewers since opening in 1993.
