The sign of the dove was given at the time of Jesus' baptism as a witness of the Holy Ghost. (See Matt. 3:16.) Where else and to whom else in the standard works is it recorded that this sign was manifested?

(Answer on page 13)

Here's answer to week's question

(From page 2)

In Facsimile No. 2 in the Book of Abraham in the Pearl of Great Price, according to the explanation, part of Figure 7 represents the sign of the Holy Ghost given "unto Abraham in the form of a dove."

Joseph Smith taught: "The sign of a dove was instituted before the creation of the world, a witness for the Holy Ghost, and the devil cannot come in the sign of a dove. . . . The sign of a dove was given to John to signify the truth of the deed, as the dove is an emblem or token of truth and innocence." (History of the Church 5:261.)

The Bible Dictionary of the LDS King James Bible further states, "We suppose that it [the sign of the dove] has been similarily made known to other prophets on occasion since the time of Adam."
