Three new stakes have been created in Latin America.
The Las Piedras Uruguay Stake and the Rosario Argentina West Stake have been created by Elder Claudia R. M. Costa of the Seventy.The Las Piedras Uruguay Stake includes the Dieciocho De Mayo, Las Piedras 1st and 2nd, Obelisco 1st, and Santa Lucia wards, and the Canelones, Obelisco 2nd, Progreso, and San Jose 1st and 2nd branches. The Rosario Argentina West Stake includes the Azcuenaga, Belgrano, Canada De Gomez, Echestortu and Godoy wards, and the Carcarana and Funes branches.
The Maipu De Cuyo Argentina Stake has been created by Elder Lynn A. Mickelsen of the Seventy. The new stake includes the Gutierrez, La Gloria, Maipu De Cuyo, Palmira, San Martin, and Unimev wards, and the Colonia Bombal and Rivadavia branches,
Elsewhere, stakes have been reorganized in Argentina, Chile, Samoa, Tonga, and Uruguay, and Utah.

LAS PIEDRAS URUGUAY STAKE: (July 2, 1995) Created from the Montevideo Uruguay North and Montevideo Uruguay Cerro stakes and the Santa Lucia Uruguay and Florida Uruguay districts. President - Gustavo Eduardo Sarasua, 28, assistant technician for Saman, former bishop, ward clerk, Young Men president, gospel doctrine teacher, and institute teacher, married Claudia Silvina Salas. MAIPU DE CUYO ARGENTINA STAKE: (June 4, 1995) Created from the Godoy Cruz Argentina and Guaymallen Argentina stakes and the San Martin Argentina District. ROSARIO ARGENTINA WEST STAKE: (May 28, 1995) Created from the Rosario Argentina North Stake.
