Women 18 years and older are invited to attend the General Relief Society Meeting Saturday, Sept. 23, according to a letter to local Church leaders from President Boyd K. Packer, acting president of the Quorum of the Twelve.

Speakers at the meeting, which will originate from the Salt Lake Tabernacle at 6 p.m. (MDT), will be President Gordon B. Hinckley and members of the Relief Society general presidency - Elaine L. Jack and her counselors, Chieko N. Okazaki and Aileen H. Clyde.The General Relief Society Meeting will be telecast over the Church's satellite network to meetinghouses in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Haiti, West Indies, Jamaica and Puerto Rico. The proceedings will be shown again at 8 p.m. (MDT) the same evening over the satellite network and over KBYU-TV.

Relief Society sisters are encouraged to invite those who are less active and friends of other faiths to attend the telecast.
