Seek to bring forth and establish my Zion. Keep my commandments in all things.
And if you keep my commandments and endure to the end you shall have eternal life, which is the greatest of all the gifts of God. - D&C 14:6-7
"An obvious parallel between life and a marathon is the necessity to run diligently and endure to the end," said Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin of the Quorum of the Twelve at October 1989 general conference. "I think of this promise of the Lord: `But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.' (Isa. 40:31.) You have that promise. . . .
"I pray that the Lord will guide and strengthen each of you in running your personal marathon . . . . I know that you can live righteous lives and, with the help of the Lord do all that you should do."
