The First Presidency announced the calls of new presidents of five missionary training centers.

The new presidents and their wives and assignments are: Eliot A. and Anna Mae Hughes Butler, Philippines; William J. and Mary Helen Clark Calvert, Colombia; Charles P. and Alta Rasmussen Lloyd, New Zealand; Guillermo and Socorro Saunders Torres, Mexico; Clarence F. and Monita Turley Robison, England.Pres. and Sister Lloyd have been serving in New Zealand since September. The other new leaders and their wives will be trained at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah, and will begin their two-year terms of service following their training.

Eliot A. Butler, 70, was born in Snowflake, Ariz., to David A. and Jane Maxwell Butler. He married Anna Mae Hughes, and they are the parents of four children. Pres. Butler, who recently returned as a missionary in the New Jersey Cherry Hill Mission, is a former president of the Philippines Bacolod Mission. He previously served as a stake president and bishop. He was a member of BYU chemistry faculty for 35 years.

Sister Butler was born in Los Angeles, Calif., to Alfred B. and Lois Sumsion Hughes. She served with her husband in the New Jersey Cherry Hill Mission. She has served as a Relief Society president, Primary teacher, and with her husband in the Philippines. They are members of the Salem 5th Ward, Salem Utah Stake.

William J. Calvert, 66, was born in Greenville, Utah, to Arthur O. and Emma LaVera Williams Calvert. He married Mary Helen Clark, and they are the parents of six children. Pres. Calvert is stake Young Men secretary and previously served as president of the Colombia Mission, stake president and counselor, stake mission president, bishop and counselor. He worked as a teacher and guidance counselor for 38 years.

Sister Calvert was born in Modesto, Calif., to Gordon W. and Flora Lucille Anderson Clark. She is a Primary organist and ward education specialist. She previously served as Primary president, counselor and teacher, and with her husband in Colombia. They are members of the Parowan 2nd Ward, Parowan Utah Stake.

Charles P. Lloyd, 68, was born in Ogden, Utah, to Charles P. Lloyd (deceased) and Oa Jacobs Cannon. He married Alta Agnes Rasmussen, and they have four children. Pres. Lloyd is a former president of the New Zealand Auckland Mission, stake president, bishop and counselor. He has worked as a teacher and school administrator.

Sister Lloyd was born in Sublett, Idaho, to Niels A. and Ivie Grace Neddo Rasmussen. She previously has served as ward Relief Society president and counselor, ward and stake Young Women president, Stake Primary president, a guide on Salt Lake Temple Square, and with her husband in New Zealand when he was mission president. They are members of the Liberty 4th Ward, Salt Lake Liberty Stake.

Clarence F. Robison, 73, was born in Fillmore, Utah, to Archie and Charlottie Eugenia Larsen Robison. He married Monita Turley, and they have nine children. He has been serving at the Provo Senior Missionary Training Center. He was president of the England Leeds Mission, and served with his wife in the Greece Athens Mission. He served as bishop and branch president, regional representative, and MIA general board member. He has worked as a health science professor and track coach at BYU, and he served on the Provo City School Board for 20 years.

Sister Robison was born in Aripine, Ariz., to Frederick A. and Wilma Caroline Fillerup Turley. She has been serving with her husband at the Provo Senior Missionary Training Center. She has served as a counselor and teacher in the Young Women, Relief Society teacher and Sunday School teacher, and with her husband in Greece and England. They are members of the Provo North 2nd Ward, Provo Utah North Stake.

Gillermo Torres, 61, was born in Tampico, Mexico, to Cristobal and Alicia Villalobos Torres. He married Socorro Saunders, and they have five children. Now serving as patriarch, Pres. Torres is a former president of the Mexico Merida Mission, counselor to the president of the Mexico City Temple, regional representative, stake president and bishop. He is president and owner of a construction company.

Sister Torres was born in Agua Dulce, Mexico, to Jose E. and Natividad Javier Saunders. She is a counselor in the Relief Society presidency, and has served as a Relief Society and Primary president, missionary, assistant to the temple matron at the Mexico City Temple, and with her husband when he was mission president. They are members of the Castillos Ward, Mexico City Mexico Cuautepec Stake.
