The most important event here Oct. 13-19 has been the dedication of the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple, the second such sacred edifice in Utah County. By the tens of thousands, members holding special tickets attended dedicatory sessions. All total, 27 sessions were scheduled to be held between Sunday morning and Saturday afternoon.

Shaking hands with President Gordon B. Hinckley or his counselors, President Thomas S. Monson and President James E. Faust, or one of the other 49 General Authorities who participated in the dedicatory sessions as they arrived at or departed from the temple, was an added highlight for those attending the supernal event.
