United States Senator Robert Dole, candidate for the Republican nomination for U.S. president, paid a courtesy call on the First Presidency and Quorum of Twelve Monday, Jan. 15, 1996. In Salt Lake City for a campaign fund raiser, Sen. Dole spoke with Church leaders about the family, the Church welfare plan, humanitarian assistance to needy people in many countries and the worldwide growth of the Church.
