April 1830: Samuel Smith, a brother of Prophet Joseph, gave preacher Phineas Young a copy of the Book of Mormon.
- August 1830: In Kingston, Phineas Young gave first recorded discourse on Book of Mormon in Canada.- Early 1832: Brigham Young, Phineas' brother, though not baptized, went to Kingston to share message of the gospel with another brother, Joseph Young. In April, all three were baptized, along with their father and Heber C. Kimball.
- June 1832: First six ordained LDS missionaries arrived in Kingston area.
- December 1832-February 1833 - Joseph, Brigham Young, John P. Greene baptized 45 people in Kingston area.
- April-June 1833: Brigham and Joseph Young preached in eastern Canada.
- June 18, 1835: Seven apostles met at Loughborough: David W. Patten, Heber C. Kimball, Luke S. Johnson, Orson Pratt, John F. Boynton, Lyman E. Johnson, Orson Hyde.
- October 1835: Parley P. Pratt preached in Ernestown. Later in Toronto, he took gospel message to John Taylor, who later became Church president.
- June-December 1836: John E. Page and companions baptized 267 converts.
- Early 1837 - John E. Page converted 400 more people.
