Carol Burdett Thomas was sustained Saturday, April 5, as second counselor in the Young Women general presidency. She succeeds Bonnie D. Parkin, who will serve with her husband, James L. Parkin, who was recently called as president of the England London South Mission.
Sister Thomas was serving on the Relief Society General Board at the time of her call to the Young Women general presidency. She has served as stake Young Women president, Relief Society officer and teacher and Primary chorister.She and her husband, D. Ray Thomas, are members of the Holladay 28th Ward, Salt Lake Holladay South Stake. They are parents of seven children.
