Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley begins his address to institute students at SUU by displaying a first edition copy of the Book of Mormon. "It is 168 years old," he said. "It is a rare treasure. Take a good look at it," he said while holding it high for all to see. "You'll probably never see another one like it." The book was given as a gift during a regional conference in Palm Springs, Calif., two days earlier. (See separate article on page 4.)
