President Gordon B. Hinckley and his counselors in the First Presidency, President Thomas S. Monson and President James E. Faust, wish to convey their appreciation for the numerous cards, letters, and other Christmas greetings they have received from members throughout the Church.

Because of the high volume of mail they receive, the members of the First Presidency are unable to respond personally to each greeting. They extend to members and friends their warm wishes for the new year, and gratitude for their faith and prayers.
